My Focus is the 1.0 Ecoboost and in January 2019 after 1500miles the message appeared. Dealer thought they had initially fixed problem but in February 2020 message reappeared. A static regen and a pcm update was done.

The hose becomes hardened and can burst which in many cases results in engine damage. There is a recall about this problem for all affected 1.0 ECOboost versions to replace the coolant return hose by a modified version. The 125 HP version of the Focus 1.0 ECOboost has the 6-speed B6 gearbox combined with a dual mass flywheel.
About a month ago i bought the Superchips bluefin remap for my Fiesta 1.0 Ecoboost (100 bhp). And i was REALLY possitive to feel the gains that the car got from the remap. But, now my car is going to the mecanic.!! my Release bearing in the clutch is done for it. I have never driven the car out to maximum rpm, but still the clutch is broken.!!
I reported this serious and apparently common - and expensive problem for owners - to National Trading Standards via the Citizens Advice Agency Our response: We do not know the total number of Ford 1.0 ltr, 3 cylinder Ecoboost engine failures, but we are aware of 452 cases. Our priority is to protect everyone from unsafe drivers and vehicles.
